How to Update Styles & Facilities

This help document will explain how to update the Styles & Facilities tab. 


Styles are venue types that are used to best describe your venue listing such as Hotel, Restaurant, Conference Centre, etc. The Agents and Clients use the styles to search for venues by venue style type, so it is very important these are added to your venue listing in order to appear in their search results. 


You can choose a maximum of 6 styles that best describe your venue.

How to amend your Style


To amend your style, firstly ensure that you are logged into your venue listing at www.myeventschannel.com with your e-mail address and password. 


From the main dashboard, click on "Venue Profile" and then click on "Styles & Facilities" on the left-hand side. 



You will then be taken to the Styles & Facilities section. Click on the "Select Styles to add" box from the drop-down, you can click on a style that you would like to add and then click "Add", You can also type the style through the drop-down to search.

The style will then show in the list. Don't forget to click the "Save" button after adding your venue styles. If you do not save this section you will see the below warning message. 


If you need to delete an existing style, you will need to click the bin icon alongside the style you wish to delete. 


How to Amend Facilities


Facilities are divided into two sections, "On-Site" or "Off-Site". 


"On-site" facilities are those that are on the premises of the venue such as Spa facilities. 

"Off-site" facilities are those that are located off the venue premises such as a shopping mall. 


To amend the Facilities, simply log in to www.myeventschannel.com and from the main dashboard, select "Venue Profile". Once you are on the venue profile dashboard, click on the "Styles & Facilities" tab on the left-hand side. From here you will presented with the Styles & Facilities section with lots of tabs. 


Select the Facilities tab.


This will take you to the facilities section which you will see is divided up into the two sections for "On-Site" and "Off-Site" facilities. Click "Add Facility" to add a new facility. 


This will bring up a new menu with mandatory fields that you must ensure that you complete. You can only select facilities that are shown in the drop-down menu. 

In the availability section, you must select if the facility is "On-Site" or "Off-Site". If the facility is "Off-Site" you must indicate how far away the facility is. 


Once you have done this, click the green add button and the facility will be added to your list below and click the "Save" button. 

If you need to delete an existing facility, you will need to click the bin icon alongside the facility you wish to delete. 



How to amend Equipment & Services


canHere you can input the equipment available for hire at your venue. If you don't have the equipment on-site but are able to hire equipment for events you should add these too. Agents and clients use equipment to search and filter venues that offer what they need which is why you must add in any equipment available. 


The equipment tab can be found in the "Styles & Facilities" section on the venue profile. 

Click the blue "Add Equipment" button to add a new item and then click the drop-down arrow to select an item. 

If the equipment is chargeable, you will need to complete the price field, as well as the tax and commission fields if needed. 


You will also make this visible on the listing. 


Lastly, add in the quantity of your equipment if you have more than 1 of each item and them click "Add at the bottom. 

If you need to delete a piece of equipment you will need to click the bin icon alongside the item you wish to delete. 


How to update Event Types


This section is where you can add types of events that your venue offers such as conferences, weddings, Christmas parties, etc. 


From the "Styles & Facilities" section click the tab "Event Types". Click the drop-down field and select the event type you wish to add. You can type in the event type you are looking for. 

Click the "Add Event Type" button and the item will show on your list below. You can add multiple event types and ensure you save the page once all the types have been added. 


How to Edit Grounds


The final tab within the Styles& Facilities tab is the "Grounds" tab. 


In this section, you can add a description of any outdoor areas, gardens or fields your property is on if they are available to be used for an event or for accommodation guests to walk around. 


To edit this section, go to the Styles & Facilities tab and then select the "Grounds" tab. 


If you have grounds available for use, simply slide the slider from "No" to "Yes" under the "Grounds Available for Use" section. 

Add a description of the grounds in the description box and ensure that you click save.
