How to add a Planned Closure to your Venue Listing

Modified on Thu, 21 Sep, 2023 at 4:16 PM

This help document will explain how to set a planned closure to your venue listing.

If your venue is planning to close for a set period of time, there is an option to add a planned closure to your venue listing. The planned closure can be added for various different reasons.

By adding a planned closure, this will notify the agents and they will be able to see when the venue is closed. The agents will be able to still send enquiries through for times outside this period.  This keeps your venue listing active and allows you to receive enquiries for future bookings outside of the closure period.

To add a planned closure to your venue, firstly you will need to log into MyEventsChannel and access your venue listing. Once you have logged in and have accessed your venue profile, you will need to go to the General Information tab.

On the General Information tab, there is a tab called Planned Closure. If you click on this tab it will take you to the tab to be able to add a planned closure to your venue listing.

Once on the Planned Closure tab, you will need to click on the slider and change this from a No to a Yes to add the planned closure to your venue listing.

Once the slider has been changed to Yes, new fields will appear allowing you to add the planned closure to your venue listing.

Start Date - This is the date that you wish for the planned closure to start for your venue.  You will need to select the start date using the calendar by clicking on the date you wish the closure to start.

Reopening Date - This is the date that you wish for the planned closure to end and your venue is planning to reopen for bookings. You will need to select the end date using the calendar by clicking on the date you wish the closure to end.

If the reopening date is unknown then there is an option to add this to the venue listing by ticking the box available. Please note, if you do choose this option that you will need to manually remove the closure once your venue has reopened.

Lastly, you will need to select the reason for the planned closure from the drop down menu; Covid-19 closure, other, refurbishment or seasonal closure.

If other is selected as the reason for the planned closure, then a text box field will appear allowing you to enter the reason for the closure.
