How to View Enquiry Release Reasons

This document will explain how to view the Enquiry Release Reasons within the Enquiry Tab on www.myeventschannel.com


Once you have responded to an enquiry the agent will create a proposal for their client to decide which venue they would like to host their meeting or event at. If your venue is not shortlisted, the agent will release the enquiry and provide a reason was to why that enquiry was released. 


To view the status of your enquiries, log into www.myeventschannel.com and from the Dashboard, navigate to the "Enquiries" tab. 


You can then filter your search criteria by Venue, Status, Created Date, Arrival Date or Last Updated Date, Date Range and finally Source (Agent). 


Alternatively if you would like to search for a specific enquiry by reference number if known, simply use the "Search Within Results" box. 

To search for only "Released" enquiries select the "Released" status option in the "Status" drop-down menu and select "Filter" once you have allocated the remaining search criteria. 

This will then bring up a list of all Released enquiries that match your search criteria. 


To view the reason why the enquiry has been released look at the column marked "Feedback".

If you hover your mouse cursor over the speech bubble icon, this will show the reason why this enquiry has been released. 


The agent will put a "Lost Reason" and also any "Other Notes" in relation to that booking being released. 


The agent can choose a variety of reasons to release an enquiry. Each agency will set up its own list of Enquiry Released Reasons which is set within their Company Preferences. 


Examples of Release Reasons:


Released reasons could include the following:-


  • No Space
  • Meeting No Longer Going Ahead
  • Duplicated Enquiry
  • Duplicated Booking
  • Event Cancelled
  • Postponed
  • Date Changed
  • Error Made on Booking 
  • No response received
  • Venue rates offered are outside the 3 most competitive options
  • Over budget per person, 24-hr rate.
