The meeting planners use venuedirectory.com's booking tool, GRATIS to search for venues and manage their bookings. Once the meeting planners send out their enquiries and the venues respond, they create a proposal for their clients to choose a venue for their meeting, event, or accommodation.
Your main image along with the first 5 images in the 'General' image category will appear on the client's proposal.
Ideally, you want your main image as an exterior photo and the following 5 to be your best photos.
You can upload more than 5 images to the General category and these images will appear on your venuedirectory.com listing but only the main image and the first 5 will show on the proposal.
Basic listings - No images will show on a client proposal, however, the agent can upload 1 image on their side for basic listings.
Image Dimensions
The maximum file size for uploads is 5 MB. Only image files (JPG, GIF, PNG) are allowed. The minimum resolution allowed is 300x200px although the higher the resolution, the better the images will display.
Adding your images to display on the client's proposal.
Please log on to www.myeventschannel.com.
To access your images, please click on the ‘Venue Profile’ tab at the top of the page and click on your venue, this will bring you to the page where you can edit the information displayed on your listing.
On the left-hand side, you will see a navigation bar, please click on the ‘Images’ tab to see all uploaded images.
Once on this tab, you will be able to see all of the images uploaded for your venue
To upload a new image, click the green ‘Upload’ button, then click the ‘Add Images’ button.
This will allow you to select the images that you wish to upload.
Once you have selected the images you want, click on the 'Open' button and press ‘Upload All’.
Then when the image loads to 100% you can click ‘Manage Existing Images’ to go back to the All Images page.
The new photo will be uploaded and will have a red 0 on it, meaning it hasn’t yet been added to a category. The categories are on the right-hand side and all images need to be in at least 1 category to be visible on the website and to agents.
There will also be a yellow warning triangle to show the image has no description. A description must be added before adding the image to a category. Click on the new image, type in a description, and save changes.
You will then need to left-click the image and drag it into the 'General' Category. You can add an image into multiple categories.
You can add as many images as you like to the General category however, only the first 5 images will appear on the client's proposal. The 5 images should show an overview of your venue with some conference rooms, and a bedroom image if applicable. You can click on each image and drag and drop it into the correct order you would like the images shown in this General Images tab.
Conference Room Images
It is important to upload images of each room you have available for hire, as this will help the client decide whether they would like to book your venue and give them a choice of rooms.
Potential clients viewing your listing on www.venuedirectory.com will also view the images for each of your conference rooms on the website. This gives them a more detailed view of your venue and your meeting space offering, encouraging them to choose you!
